1949年內戰，如果是中國共產黨輸了，中共無法跑到台灣，因為台灣共產黨早被日本警察拘捕殆盡，中共只能逃亡西伯利亞。史達林會利用中共游擊隊佔領東北新疆蒙古，成為蘇聯加盟國。英國印度則進軍西藏，英國緬甸進軍雲南，越共則會進軍廣東廣西。蔣介石領導的中華民國無法統一二戰後的中國領土，因為他的外交能力有問題，否則不會丟掉外蒙古。
In the 1949 civil war, if the Chinese Communists had lost, the Communists would not have been able to escape to Taiwan, where they would have been arrested by the Japanese police, and the Communists would have had to flee to Siberia. Stalin would have used the CCP guerrillas to occupy Xinjiang and Mongolia in the north-east and become a member state of the Soviet Union. British India would move into Tibet, British Burma into Yunnan, and the Viet Cong into Guangdong and Guangxi. Chiang Kai-shek's ROC was unable to unify China after WWII because of his diplomatic skills, otherwise he would not have lost Outer Mongolia.
