我对此没有独立的确认。我时常捡到wisp。

I have no independent confirmation on this. I have picked up wisp from time to time.
One of my PTSD guys told of being recruited in the brig in Germany by a Colonel around 1965. The Colonel’s speech went something like this. Our best and brightest have failed. We are looking for the most undisciplined worst soldiers we have. You have proven yourselves to meet that criteria. If you volunteer you will be shipped to Vietnam for a special assignment.
He volunteered. His group was assigned to go into the bush seek out the enemy, kill them and raise as much general havoc as possible.
He entered Vietnam as a 2 year E-1 and left as a Captain. (confirmed by his personnel file.) They did just that. They operated as squads. His final group was made up of Native Americans primarily Apache. He was 3/4 Apache. He told of going into a VC camp and killing everyone in the camp using knives and the Hawk.
When an area got quite they would move.
I asked him what they did. His response was interesting. “I did everything my ancestors did and more.”
I doubt there is any official record or even a unit identification. His personal record was sparse. Reported Vietnam and date. Left Vietnam and date. He had an impressive list of awards.
I believe his story and think that this unit was probably the most feared in country.
If anyone can confirm I would appreciate it.
This weekend I ran into a former SOG operator from Vietnam. It was the first time I had actually met him. I knew of his reputation and activities.
I asked him about my friends story.
Not only did he confirm the story but knew my friend personally and had worked with his group on multiple missions.
I now consider the story confirmed.
