Bolsonaro, it should be recalled, awaits trial
Exactly. So why is he treated as if already convicted. Right now, he is not even allowed to talk to the press and has to wear an electronic ankle bracelet. His passport is long gone. It does appear that Trump has a tiny point here.
Most Brazilians want to move forward and leave Bolsonaro (and his sons) and also Lula (very high rejection values of >50%) behind. Trump might accelerate the overdue renewal process of Brazilian politics. Also, the Brazilian Supreme Court has issues, especially the enormous power of single judges is debatable. But that's for Brazil to sort out. By the way, the last emperor of Brazil was arguably the greatest statesman Brazil ever had...

Their collective economic weight is enormous and even a grifter deflecting from his obscene long-standing friendship with Epstein and with the economic and trade literacy of a dead cat could do very little in the face of such collaboration.

I think you will find that the BRICS Plus have the task of preserving the rules based trading system in hand - see Link A
Link A: https://brics.br/en/news/brics-summit-signs-historic-commitment-in-rio-for-more-inclusive-and-sustainable-governance
On trade the BRICS summit communique expressed serious concerns about the rise of unilateral tariff and non-tariff barriers, which distort trade and contradict WTO rules. Indeed, trade between the BRiCS Plus (members and partners) now exceeds US$1 trillion.
The BRICs declaration highlighted that restrictive actions being taken by the US threaten to reduce global trade, disrupt supply chains, and introduce uncertainty. The BRICS nations reaffirmed their commitment to multilateralism and a more inclusive and sustainable global governance, including strengthening cooperation on trade and investment.
The challenge for the G7 counties (all U.S. allies) listed in your comment is whether they intend to simply pay lip service to the multilateralism of the BRICS Plus or rally round the protectionist tariff and sanctions driven agenda emanating from Washington.
