By the grace of godly General MacArthur,

speech is free..

Let us sing in freedom,

over the green fields.

1-Nov-45
His Excellency General MacArthur:

The stationing of your troops in Japan and political reform are great things that are welcomed by all of the Japanese people.
I swear by the gods of heaven and earth my faith in and gratitude for the MacArthur administration.
Japanese politicians are allies of the zaibatsu and their politics are dishonest, their politics are inhumane.
In my humble opinion, you should introduce great reforms of Japanese politics, remake Japan's zaibatsu through and through, and return all property owned by the zaibatsu, without exception, to the government.
I hope you would, in this manner, provide food for the unemployed.
There is a great mold growing on Japanese politics today...
[illegible] and there is a green growth upon it.
The Shidehara cabinet [October 1945-May 1946] has likewise begun to grow mold.
We the people, with freedom of speech, would cleanse the mold from the souls of the politicians.
We hope thereby to arrive at a reborn, cultural Japan.
With this in mind, I have organized the Greater Japan Loyalty Association, and I would like to request Your Excellency General MacArthur's efforts toward rebuilding the nation.
I sincerely apologize for interrupting your heavy military responsibilities, but I would ask you to take a look at two lengthy documents, an outline and a prospectus for the Greater Japan Loyalty Association.
Thereupon, the unworthy Tsuchiya Gompei, founder of the Greater Japan Loyalty Association would like to pay his respects to Your Excellency General MacArthur.
At that time I would like to discuss the state of affairs of Japan.
I am, sir, a soldier of Your Excellency General MacArthur.
 Please do not ignore me;
I truly want you to make use of me.
I will explain everything when we meet.
Humbly,
Tsuchiya Gompei
