亲爱的先生

为了日本的未来和我们的后代，请让日本成为美国的殖民地。

我相信，无论谁当大臣，无论谁组建政府，我们的领导人都不会为人民着想，因为所有日本人都只为自己着想。

战争期间，领导人欺骗人民，告诉他们美国人很可怕。

美国士兵是善良的。

有传言说，美国士兵一来，就会抢走我们的手表、钱和其他东西，所以大多数日本人都把值钱的东西都藏了起来。

与传言相反，他们没有做错任何事。

因为日本作恶多端，所以他们骗我们说美国人会疯狂，但他们反而比日本人善良。

如果我还年轻，我想去美国，但我已经六十二岁了，所以这是不可能的。

我的长子太郎现年 23 岁，曾是一名军医和少尉，两年前作为森 1353d 中队的一员在缅甸失踪。

如果他能活着回来，我会带他来见你。

我希望他能去美国，请您协助实现这一愿望。

去年 3 月，报纸报道缅甸军队全军覆没。

军医是非战斗人员，所以如果他被英国当作战俘，他可能还活着。

Dear Sir:

It is with great reluctance that I write to ask you, for the sake of Japan's future and our descendants, to please make Japan a colony of the United States.

 I believe that no matter who becomes a minister, no matter who forms a government, our leaders will not think of the people, as all Japanese think only of themselves.

 During the war, the leaders deceived the people by telling them that Americans are terrible.

 American soldiers are kind.

 There were rumors that when American soldiers came, they would take our watches and money and everything else, so most Japanese hid all of their valuables.

Contrary to the rumors, they did nothing wrong.

 Because Japan was doing evil, they lied to us that Americans would go wild, but instead they are kinder than the Japanese.

 If I were young, I would like to go to the United States, but I am sixty-two so this is not possible.

 My eldest son, Taro, twenty-three, is a former army doctor and second lieutenant who was reported missing two years ago as a member of the Mori 1353d Squadron in Burma.

 If he is so lucky as to return alive, I will bring him to see you.

 I want him to go to America, and I beg you to assist in making this happen.

 In March of last year, the newspaper reported that the whole army in Burma had been annihilated.

 An army doctor is a noncombatant, so if he was taken as a prisoner of war by Britain, he may still be alive.

 I am worried because he was taught by the Japanese state to fight to the death.

If the Japanese were kind, they could contribute to the world, even with their small stature, but whoever forms a government will not think about the Japanese people, they will only think about themselves.

 For the sake of all Japanese and our descendants, I believe that the future of Japan will be brighter under American control.

大変不本意ではありますが、日本の将来と私たちの子孫のために、どうか日本を米国の植民地にしていただきたく、お願い申し上げます。

 誰が大臣になろうとも、誰が政権を取ろうとも、すべての日本人が自分のことしか考えないように、指導者たちは国民のことを考えないと思います。

 戦時中、指導者たちは「アメリカ人は恐ろしい」と言って国民をだました。

 アメリカ兵は優しい。

 アメリカ兵が来たら、時計もお金も何もかも持っていかれるという噂があったので、ほとんどの日本人は貴重品を全部隠していました。

噂に反して、彼らは何も悪いことはしていない。

 日本は悪事を働いていたから、アメリカ人は暴れるだろうと私たちに嘘をついた。

 もし私が若かったら、アメリカに行きたいけれど、もう62歳だから無理だね。

 長男の太郎（23歳）は元陸軍軍医で少尉、2年前にビルマで森1353部隊の一員として行方不明になった。

 もし彼が生きて帰ってくるような幸運に恵まれたら、あなたに会わせます。

 私は彼をアメリカに連れて行きたい。

 昨年3月、ビルマの全軍が全滅したと新聞が報じた。

 軍医は非戦闘員ですから、英国に捕虜として連れて行かれたのなら、まだ生きているかもしれません。

 日本国家から死ぬまで戦うことを教え込まれた人だから心配だ。

日本人が親切であれば、小柄でも世界に貢献できるはずだが、誰が政権を取っても日本人のことは考えず、自分のことしか考えないだろう。

 すべての日本人と私たちの子孫のために、私は日本の未来がアメリカの支配下でより明るいものになると信じている。
