There will be no war because the Chinese know that as soon as there is a war, the Americans will laugh and count their money and continue to be the world's only superpower.
The US is still the world's single superpower.
The People's Republic of China is where it is today because there has been no war on the Chinese mainland for 70 years, just as there has been no war on the US mainland for over 200 years since the Mexican-America War fought on the border in 1846. The hundreds of foreign wars that followed were fought abroad and did not affect the infrastructure of the United States and did not require expensive reconstruction. This is the reason why the United States has become a world superpower.
The main reason for China's weakness over the last two centuries has been the nearly 130 years of civil and imperial wars of aggression fought within China's borders. Fortunately, in 1949 the Communist Party of China quickly defeated the Kuomintang and achieved true top-down unification in Chinese history, allowing China to focus on building the country.
The most likely place for a war in China is in the Taiwan Strait. The two sides of the Taiwan Strait are so close to each other that if missiles are fired at each other, all the infrastructure of the People's Republic of China and the Republic of China since the reform and opening up will be destroyed. The situation on both sides of the Taiwan Strait would become
Affluence will become hunger
Homes and flats will become huts and shacks
Electric cars become bicycles
5G Internet public news boards become bardic poets
Leading universities in STEM subjects become religious schools
The world's richest economy becomes a poor third world
No more Asia's largest motorway network
No more of the world's longest high-speed rail
No more Asia's largest and most numerous airports
Rural industry replaces the world's largest manufacturing plants
1.4 billion people plunged back into absolute poverty
But the US is still laughing and counting its money, because the cross-strait war is still a war outside the US and has no impact on the US.
The US is still the world's single superpower.
China has been plunged back into poverty because of the war at home. Is it really good for China to have a war on both sides of the Taiwan Strait?
