台湾独立

Taiwan's independence is actually a self-inflicted problem because it is based on the non-recognition of the ROC and the ruling power of the People's Republic of China.

The ROC is an independent country, so why does it need Taiwan to become a normal country?

If Taiwan becomes independent and returns Kinmen, Matsu, Dongsha and Taiping Islands to the People's Republic of China, will Taiwan be able to live in peace with the People's Republic of China?

How do you want to return them? Sign the treaty? How do we sign? Will the People's Republic of China discuss Taiwan's independence with the Republic of Taiwan?

If international law says that signing a treaty is a necessary condition for everything to be established, does this mean that as long as the People's Republic of China does not sign the treaty, the Republic of Taiwan will remain an empty talk and a deception to the people?

The R.O.C. was originally an independent country, but the war led to a significant loss of territory, leaving only Taiwan Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu.

The Republic of China (ROC) also wanted to counter-attack the mainland to recover its territory, but reality is stronger than people, and the ROC is no longer able to wage war, so it abolished the anti-communist provisional constitution in 1991 and formally gave up its territory in mainland China.

In 2006, the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), which advocates for Taiwan's independence, also abolished the Guidelines for National Unification, and even if the KMT were to return to power, it would not dare to resume it.

At this point, the R.O.C. has officially abandoned the goal of national unification and only wants to maintain the current status quo of independence. What is the difference between this and Taiwan's independence?

If the name of the country is not the same, then hold a referendum to change the national flag, national anthem, and national symbol! Would this be more appealing than the independence of Taiwan?

The DPP is in power for the second time, but why not do it? Because they are afraid to gamble, afraid of war! Fear of bloodshed!

The misperception of Taiwan's independence was founded on

In 1951, Japan signed the San Francisco Peace Treaty with the Allied Powers.

In 1952, Japan also signed the Sino-Japanese Peace Treaty with the government of the Republic of China.

However, in these treaties, Japan only "renounced" all rights, titles and claims to Taiwan, Penghu and other islands, but did not indicate to whom Taiwan's sovereignty would be vested.

Therefore, the theory of Taiwan's undetermined status was derived.

The Taiwan independence advocates therefore used the undetermined status of Taiwan to deny the eligibility of the ROC in Taiwan.

But it is forgotten that in 1945, the ROC received Taiwan, Penghu, Hong Kong and North Vietnam under the First Order of General MacArthur of the Allied Headquarters. This was not an exercise of the right of conquest, but the right of a victorious nation to dispose of a defeated nation.

The British took back Hong Kong because of Chiang Kai-shek's cowardice. France wanted to rebuild the colonial empire of Indochina and take back North Vietnam. But did any foreign country ask the Republic of China for Taiwan's Penghu back? No!

Why not? Because Taiwan Penghu has already got back the territory ceded by China and Japan in the Sino-Japanese War because of the ROC's status as the victorious nation in World War II. This is a fact that cannot be denied.
